This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with client communication, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every visitor. You will play a key part in supporting veterinary operations, managing appointments, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, pet-centered environment. Your dedication will help foster trust and loyalty among our clients while contributing to the health and well-being of animals under our care.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic’s daily calendar using veterinary software.
• Handle client inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and clarity, providing accurate information about services, procedures, and policies.
• Collect payments efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
• Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and medical records following veterinary terminology standards.
• Support veterinary staff by ordering and managing inventory of supplies in compliance with DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and USDA regulations.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by participating in monthly staff meetings to enhance overall clinic operations.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of customer service, veterinary terminology, and companion animal medicine is highly valued.
• Proficiency in veterinary software systems such as Shepherd; familiarity with Microsoft Office tools is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience in animal handling, dog training, or kennel work that ensures safe interactions with animals of various sizes and temperaments.
• Experience working in a veterinary clinic setting or similar environment involving veterinary administrative support is highly valued.
• Skills in managing multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in busy front desk operations.

Pay: $14.25 - $20.00 per hour
