We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team on a casual basis.

Located in Whittlesea, VicVet is a purpose-built veterinary hospital bringing together Primary Care, Emergency and Referral services under one roof. As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for pets and their owners during some of their most important moments.

Whether you're helping a worried emergency client, welcoming a puppy for its first vaccination, or coordinating communication between departments, you'll be an important part of the patient journey.

About the Role

As a Casual Veterinary Receptionist, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the hospital by providing outstanding customer service and administrative support.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
• Managing incoming phone calls and emails
• Booking appointments and coordinating schedules
• Processing payments and managing accounts
• Handling emergency enquiries and directing cases appropriately
• Supporting communication between clients and clinical teams
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Assisting with general administrative duties and reception workflow
• Working collaboratively with both Primary Care and Emergency & Referral departments
• Following cleaning protocols each shift

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous veterinary reception experience (preferred)
• Has exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Remains calm and compassionate during busy or emotional situations
• Is organised, efficient and able to multitask
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Is confident using computer systems and learning new software (if you're already confident using EzyVet, this is advantageous)
• Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
