Compassionate Veterinary Receptionist - Join Our Team!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and support to our clients while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Welcome clients and their pets with warmth, ensuring every visit starts with a positive experience.
• Schedule appointments, manage patient records accurately, and keep workflows organized.
• Handle incoming calls for scheduling, care inquiries, prescription refills, and general assistance, and place outgoing calls for appointment reminders and follow-up care.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient intake by gathering relevant medical history and information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reception area.
• Provide information on services offered by the clinic.
• Know the basics of preventative care (vaccinations, parasite control), triaging, animal behavior and handling, and side effects of common medications

Is This You?

• At least 2 years of experience as veterinary receptionist
• Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred, with familiarity in veterinary terminology and procedures.
• Able to confidently triage client concerns by gathering key information
• Strong communication skills with a passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Able to stay calm, professional and positive under pressure or during busy times
• A team player who values kindness, dependability and attention to detail
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and Chinese, including Mandarin and Cantonese, are a plus
