We are a growing, busy, animal hospital seeking an experienced and efficient front office receptionist who can multitask while keeping a friendly smile for our clients and patients. The receptionist is the first and last contact with the hospital and key to creating first and lasting impressions. The candidate is comfortable answering and maintaining busy phone lines, knowledgeable with products and services in the animal industry, experienced with client communication and client education, loves animals and has a strong work ethic. Job duties also include working around animals. This job entails office work. You must be comfortable around a computer, busy telephone lines, printer/fax machine.

Receptionists must possess strong organizational skills, excellent telephone and
in-person communication skills.
It is the receptionist’s responsibility to be sure the front desk is never left
unattended. Receptionists must have compassion for animals and their owners
and understand the stress that patients and clients endure. Receptionists support
veterinarians, technicians, veterinary assistants, groomers and kennel staff in
daily patient and client care as well as communication.
Receptionists are responsible for greeting clients; differentiating routine
cases from emergency cases; scheduling appointments; entering client, patient,
and financial data into the computer; generating invoices and explaining them
to clients; processing payments.
Receptionists should expect to spend nearly all of their workdays at the
front desk unless transferring patients and clients into an exam room, or needed
in other parts of the hospital.
Hospital cleanliness and sanitation are priorities of the job as well.

Applicants must have 1-2 years veterinary customer service. Must be willing to work weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
