Veterinary Receptionist

Job Summary
Rancho West Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our animal care team! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while operating the front desk of our veterinary practice. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain a caring, professional appearance and attitude while multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Experienced preferred.

Duties

• Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive experience.
• Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for veterinary services.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system.
• Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
• Provide information on animal care, including basic knowledge of animal husbandry and pet grooming/ client education.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
• General animal care practice
• 1+ years Experience preferred
• Avimark Experience is a plus but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Hours:

Monday& Friday 1:30pm-6:30pm

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 1:30pm-7:30pm

Saturdays 9am-2pm

*Pay rate is based on experience*

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
