Veterinary Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal care, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and their pets.

Duties

• Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
• Handle medical collections and process payments accurately.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential.
• Provide clients with information on pet care, including vaccination schedules, dietary needs, and insurance claims.
• Manage inventory of veterinary supplies and ensure the cleanliness of the reception area.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' health needs and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure high-quality patient care and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a veterinary setting is highly preferred, including familiarity with veterinary terminology.
• Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry, and handling techniques is essential.
• Experience in medical collection processes and laboratory procedures is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
