Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services (SEAVS) | Full-time and part-time

Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services is seeking two experienced veterinary receptionists to join our client service team. SEAVS is the largest exclusive exotic veterinary practice on the East Coast. Our eight-doctor team provides advanced veterinary care.

We care for birds (including parrots, raptors, waterfowl, and poultry), reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, and occasionally tarantulas. Small mammals we see include rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets, hedgehogs, mice, hamsters, sugar gliders, and prairie dogs. We do not see dogs, cats, monkeys, zoo animals, venomous snakes, mini-pigs, goats, or fish.

This is a strictly administrative reception role with no cross-training in other departments. We’re looking for individuals with excellent interpersonal communication skills able to work well both independently and as part of a team to provide compassionate and empathetic service to clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

· Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and respond to client emails promptly and professionally.

· Check clients in and out, process financial transactions, and send electronic forms.

· Record information and accurately scan and attach forms to patient files.

· Stock retail items and keep the workstation and waiting area organized.

· Occasionally assist clients at their vehicles, including carrying pet carriers weighing up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

· At least 3 years of veterinary reception experience.

· Previous experience with AVImark.

· Previous experience with exotic animals, either professionally or personally.

· Effective communication, listening, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time positions are available. Shifts may vary based on staffing needs.If hired, you must be availableto work 8-hour shifts anytime between the hours of 7:00AM-10:30PM M-F, 7:00AM-6:30PM Sa.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
