Veterinary Receptionist - Experienced

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring a smooth operation within our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong ability to communicate effectively with both clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
• Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and handle phone inquiries efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
• Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians as needed during examinations or procedures.
• Provide information about services and products to clients.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.
• Handle any client concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism.

Experience

• Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required; experience in animal care or kennel work is highly valued.
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal anatomy knowledge, and basic medical procedures such as aseptic techniques or animal catheterization is advantageous.
• Skills in dog handling will be considered a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective client interaction.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
