Veterinary Receptionist - Full Time

About us

Davis Animal Hospital is an independent, full-service animal hospital in Springdale. We offer wellness care, vaccines, dentistry, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, hospitalization and boarding. Our team is busy and close-knit, and we care a lot about our patients and the people who bring them in.

The role

Our front desk is the first thing clients see and the hub that keeps the hospital running. We're looking for a friendly, organized receptionist who stays calm when the phones are ringing, the lobby is full, and a worried pet owner walks in.

What you'll do

• Greet clients and patients, then check them in and out
• Answer phones and schedule appointments, surgeries and boarding
• Take payments and explain estimates and invoices
• Keep medical records and client information up to date in our practice software (ezyVet)
• Send appointment reminders and handle refill requests and callbacks
• Communicate clearly with doctors, techs and kennel staff so the day runs smoothly
• Keep the lobby and front desk clean and welcoming

What we're looking for

• Excellent customer service and phone skills
• Comfortable with computers and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Dependable, punctual, and able to accommodate variable end times
• Compassion for animals and the people who love them, including during hard moments like euthanasia appointments
• Experience is not required, but veterinary, medical office or customer service experience is a plus. We'll train the right person.

Schedule

• Full-time position, approximately 36–40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday: 7:15 AM until close. End times vary daily based on caseload and frequently extend past 5:30 PM.
• Saturday: 7:15 AM until close. End times vary based on caseload and typically extend past 4:00 PM.
• Saturday availability is required.
• Sundays off

Pay

$15–$18 per hour to start, depending on experience.
