Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant

We are looking to add a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to our team. We cross train and responsibilities would include assisting/weekend kennels, but primary focus would be reception during weekdays and Saturday mornings.

**all employees are required to work 1-2 holiday kennels a year

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival at the clinic.
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
• Process payments and manage billing inquiries.
• Assist veterinary staff with medication administration and animal catheterization when needed.
• Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for clients.
• Provide information on animal husbandry, care, and preventive health measures to pet owners.
• Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the clinic environment.
• Feeding, bathing, and exercising animals as needed (weekend kennels)
• Assisting veterinarians and vet technicians

Experience

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or similar environment
• Knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary critical care practices
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective client interaction.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
