Bruns0006 Veterinary Surgeon – Brunswick Place About the role Brunswick Place is an established small-animal practice offering an excellent environment in which to develop your veterinary career. Our highly experienced Senior Vets have a combined 60 years of service and have built a loyal client base spanning generations. We are now looking for a curious, enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon who is keen to learn and passionate about providing excellent patient and client care.

As part of our close-knit team, you will help us continue to raise clinical standards, contribute ideas that enhance the client experience and support the practice's long-standing role within the local community. You will work with a varied caseload of cats, dogs and rabbits, with the freedom to develop at a pace that suits your experience and ambitions.

We actively encourage professional development, including support for certificates and postgraduate qualifications. You'll also have support available on site, you will have access to mentoring and guidance whenever you need it, not just in the practice but through our 3,000 learning courses and our Regional Clinical Lead and Advanced Clinical Services Network, giving you instant access to Specialist level support on more complex cases.

Life at Brunswick Place Our practice has served the community from the same site for around 70 years. We have a warm, family-style culture and welcome colleagues who want to contribute beyond their day-to-day clinical work. Whether you are interested in clinical improvement, client initiatives or team projects, you will be encouraged to get involved in the areas that matter to you.

The wider team includes seven nurses—four Registered Veterinary Nurses and three Student Veterinary Nurses—as well as five receptionists. Together, we provide a supportive and collaborative environment focused on high-quality care.

Our team enjoys spending time together through summer and Christmas events, social walks and a book club. We also organise client fundraising activities and take pride in the strong relationships we have built with local families and their pets over many years.

About You We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who:

  • Is committed to delivering high-quality care for patients and their owners.

  • Works well as part of a team and is happy to share knowledge and support colleagues.
  • Communicates clearly and creates a positive, reassuring experience for clients.
  • Would like to contribute ideas and help shape clinical quality and the wider client experience.

We welcome applications from vets at different stages of their careers. The level of responsibility and clinical autonomy can be tailored to your experience, and experienced colleagues will have opportunities to mentor others and help develop practice standards.

What We Offer

  • RCVS and VDS fees paid in full.
  • A generous CPD allowance, BSAVA library access, more than 450 courses and fully funded postgraduate qualifications, including CertAVP and PgCert options, with tuition, examination fees and study leave covered.
