What they need
We are looking for a confident, client focused Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team at Tari Vets.
Based in Shenfield, Essex, Tari Vets was established in 2019 and has developed into a busy, independent mixed first opinion practice with a growing referral service. We are fortunate to work with a fantastic client base, as well as a small number of select charities.
Our practice is equipped with modern facilities and equipment, including CT, endoscopy, ultrasound, dental X-ray, DR X-ray and three operating theatres. We also have separate facilities for dogs, cats and exotic species.
We have a growing referral service in CT, ophthalmology and exotics, supported by a range of certificate holders and visiting specialists. Our team has expertise across ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery, exotics, internal medicine and cardiology. This provides our first opinion vets with excellent opportunities to discuss cases, develop their clinical skills and become involved in a wide variety of interesting cases.
The role
The position is four 10 hour days per week, with consultations scheduled across the morning and afternoon/evening. The weekend rota is 1 in 5 weekends Saturday 9am-5pm Sunday 9am-2pm. There are no out of hours or bank holidays required.
We have structured the working day to allow dedicated time away from consultations. This gives you the opportunity to work up cases thoroughly, review and complete laboratory results, carry out minor procedures and work alongside the wider clinical team.
We aim to provide our vets with the time and support required to investigate cases appropriately and deliver a high standard of patient and client care, rather than moving continuously from one consultation to the next.
The team
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team consisting of four full time Veterinary Surgeons, eight RVNs and an experienced reception team.
We have a strong team ethos and encourage our clinicians to discuss cases, share knowledge and support one another. We enjoy working collaboratively to ensure our patients receive the highest possible standard of care.
The ideal candidate
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is:
- Confident and client focused with strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently while recognising when support is required
- Committed to providing high standards of patient and client care
- Keen to develop their clinical skills and knowledge
- A supportive team player who enjoys discussing and sharing cases
We are keen to hear from Veterinary Surgeons who are looking to develop their skills within a supportive, well equipped independent practice and who value collaborative working.
Salary is negotiable based on experience.
If you would like to find out more about the position or arrange an informal visit to the practice, we would be very happy to hear from you.
Pay: £65,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Employee discount
- Free parking
