Duties

• Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal patient care
• Handle animal restraint and behavior management to facilitate safe and effective procedures for dogs, cats, equines, and other small animals
• Perform animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning enclosures, grooming, and maintaining a clean clinic environment
• Support record keeping by documenting medical histories, treatment plans, medication administration, and procedure details accurately
• Aid in IV insertion, catheterization, medication administration, and other technical procedures under supervision
• Manage front desk responsibilities such as client communication, appointment scheduling, and providing pet care advice
• Maintain strict use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all procedures to ensure safety for animals and staff

Skills

• Proven kennel experience along with veterinary clinic experience that demonstrates familiarity with animal handling and care protocols
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and animal behavior to support effective communication and treatment planning
• Experience with surgical assistance including animal restraint, anesthesia support, and post-operative care
• Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the clinic environment
• Skilled in record keeping related to treatments, medications, and patient histories for accurate documentation
• Excellent client communication skills to provide compassionate pet care guidance and answer owner questions confidently
• Prior experience with equine handling or critical care environments is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
