Veterinary Technician (1 YEAR EXP REQ)

Animal Hospital of North Dover has been providing compassionate veterinary services for residents of Toms River and surrounding communities since 2001.

We are looking to add another Full-time Veterinary Technician to our caring and professional team. Experience working in a veterinary healthcare setting is always preferred.

Our business hours are:

Monday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Tuesday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday CLOSED

Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Saturday 8:45 AM to NOON

We are closed on Sundays and major holidays. So a great 40 hour/week schedule is assured.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Assist veterinarians and other veterinary technicians with examinations, treatments, dentals and surgeries.
• Perform venipuncture, place intravenous catheters and monitor anesthesia.
• Perform in-house lab tests.
• Clean and maintain exam, treatment, lab and other common areas and patient housing.
• Process payments and facilitate patient discharge.
• Take patient histories, handle patient admissions and provide client education.
• Answer phones promptly, book appointments and place calls professionally.
• Assist in daily opening and closing procedures.

Education:

• Veterinary: 1 year (Required)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
