Duties

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and confidence
• Perform animal restraint using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff
• Collect blood samples through IV insertion and phlebotomy for laboratory testing and diagnostics
• Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, radiology diagnostics tools, and anesthesia monitors with proficiency
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary protocols accurately
• Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to prevent infections and ensure animal safety
• Support laboratory work including sample processing, diagnostic testing, and record keeping for veterinary labs
• Handle animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and maintaining clean kennels to promote health and comfort
• Assist with emergency medicine procedures and critical care to stabilize animals in urgent situations
• Manage veterinary software for appointment scheduling, record updates, and client communication effectively

Experience

• Previous hands-on animal handling skills in a veterinary setting preferred
• Experience with animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology to support clinical tasks confidently
• Background in veterinary critical care or emergency medicine is highly desirable
• Laboratory experience including phlebotomy, diagnostic radiology, and specimen processing is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to operate medical equipment such as anesthesia machines, radiography units, and IV catheters
