Veterinary Technician

Exclusively Cats Veterinary Hospital is seeking an EXPERIENCED full or part time Veterinary Technician

Exclusively Cats Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, full-service, feline only veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and dedicated individual that can thrive in a team work environment, and also work independently. This demanding and fast-paced position is available for an individual with exceptional customer service, a positive and helpful attitude, and a friendly and professional demeanor.

Potential candidates must be comfortable working with and restraining felines of all temperaments. Our practice puts an emphasis on gentle care and handling of every patient. We also strive to provide superb patient care and we are looking for someone who shares this philosophy.

Must have excellent communication skills, as well as technical skills. Must be comfortable engaging and interacting with clients, as well as providing client education on a variety of topics.

Must be proficient in technical skills, including but not limited to:

• Venipuncture
• Placing IV catheters
• Surgical assistance
• Monitoring and recovering patients under general anesthesia
• Radiology
• Giving injections (SQ, IM and IV)
• Administer medications
• Running lab work and processing lab samples.

Potential candidates must also be experienced with maintaining relevant and comprehensive medical records as well as medical terminology.

Potential candidates must be flexible with their schedule and able to work a variety of hours, including some late evenings and one weekend a month.

Experience with Avimark veterinary software a plus!

Current LVT, CVT or RVT license strongly preferred, but not required. Full or part-time availability. Will consider a very experienced and skilled assistant.
