Duties

• Assist the veterinarian with clinical procedures including blood draws, vaccination and medication administration, and animal restraint to ensure safe and effective treatments.
• Handle dogs and cats with confidence, utilizing proper animal handling techniques and behavior understanding.
• Provide support by communicating effectively with clients, scheduling appointments, managing patient files, and answering inquiries professionally.
• Safely drive the vehicle, while keeping the equipment and medications organized and clean.

Experience

• Prior hands-on animal handling experience is crucial, in particular, hard to handle cats.
• Experience working as a veterinary technician or in a veterinary clinic setting where everything such as blood draws are performed in front of the owners.
• Strong understanding of animal physiology, anatomy, and behavior to effectively assist during examinations.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with clients about pet care instructions and treatment plans.
• Demonstrated competence in cleaning protocols, record keeping accuracy, medication administration, and use of veterinary terminology.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
