Longevity Veterinary Center is searching for full-time experienced Veterinary Technicians for our brand-new state of the art urgent care veterinary services located in Whippany, NJ.

The Veterinary Technician facilitates client satisfaction and patient care, assisting our veterinarians in their clinical responsibilities.

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities Include:

· EMERGENCY TRIAGE

Takes vital signs

· Catheter placement

· Radiology

· Anesthesia Monitoring

· Perform venipuncture

· Surgical preparation and patient recovery

· Laboratory samples

· Pharmacy

· Treatments such as intravenously, orally and subcutaneously

What You'll Bring:

Must have at least 2-3 years minimum of veterinary technician experience, comfortable with care for sick and injured animals as well as well checks.

· Experience in Avimark software, and/or willing to learn the new state of the art veterinary software.

· Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· A caring, compassionate, "can-do" attitude in a fast-paced environment

· Team focused and a willingness to ask, “how may I help” both clients and colleagues.

· High school graduate or equivalency is required.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work on feet all day/night.

Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
