Experienced Veterinary Technician – Private Practice

Lookout Mountain Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a busy, privately owned, non-corporate veterinary practice committed to compassionate patient care, high-quality medicine, and exceptional client service.

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
• Dental prophylaxis and cleaning
• Obtaining and reading ECGs
• Venipuncture
• IV catheter placement
• Collecting, preparing, and processing laboratory samples
• Obtaining diagnostic radiographs
• Medication and drug dosage calculations
• Providing skilled nursing care for hospitalized patients
• Assisting doctors with examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Client education and communication
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Working efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety

Qualifications:

A minimum of two years of recent, hands-on veterinary technician experience is required. CVT certification is preferred but not required.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy environment where quality medicine and patient care always come first.
