Veterinary Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and handling, with the ability to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. This role requires a blend of technical skills, knowledge of veterinary practices, and a passion for animal welfare.

Duties

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
• Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Provide support in dental procedures using veterinary terminology
• Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments
• Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinarian
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and health maintenance
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including adherence to aseptic techniques
• Participate in kennel duties, including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role within the veterinary field
• Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices
• Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures and laboratory techniques
• Experience with dog handling, training, grooming, and catheterization is highly desirable
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively
• A commitment to providing compassionate care for all animals under your supervision
• Able to safely lift , restrain ,and transport animal patients weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier animals.
