Schedule:

• Typically a 4-day work week
• Alternating Saturdays required
• Sunday off

Compensation:

• Veterinary Assistant: $23–25/hr based on experience + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

Hospital Hours:
Monday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Sunday: Closed

Duties

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing instruments, administering anesthesia, and monitoring vital signs.
• Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during treatments and examinations.
• Conduct laboratory tests.
• Maintain detailed medical records, including vaccination histories, treatment plans, and laboratory results.
• Take x-ray images while adhering radiation safety protocols.
• Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and performing pet dental x-rays and cleanings under veterinarian supervision.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician experience or related animal care background is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques, X-ray procedures, aseptic technique, and animal restraint methods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members effectively.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and experience assisting with dental procedures is a plus.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
