Veterinary Technician

South Patrick Animal Hospital is Brevard County’s first beachside veterinary clinic, and we are proud to be a family-oriented practice committed to providing high-quality medical care to our community. We offer a blend of traditional and holistic treatments, including acupuncture and chiropractic care. Our practice primarily treats dogs and cats, while also caring for small mammals such as rabbits and guinea pigs.

We are currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician who is dependable, motivated, takes initiative, communicates effectively, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring that both our patients and clients receive outstanding care. Requirements and Responsibilities

• At least one year of animal handling experience in a veterinary setting is required.

Daily position-specific duties include:

• Animal handling
• Assisting in exam rooms
• Collecting samples, including fecal and urine samples, and learning blood collection if not already experienced
• Receiving advanced training, if needed, in laboratory and surgical skills, including microbiology, surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, IV catheter placement, induction, and intubation

Additional daily duties include:

• Basic phone and computer use
• General cleaning and maintaining a clean work environment
• Ensuring each client feels valued and satisfied with the services they receive
• Using veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Communicating the importance and value of veterinary services to pet owners
