Veterinary Technician (Midshift)

Resurge Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Rehabilitation, LLC is a surgical referral practice located in Covington, Louisiana, that is owned and operated by Dena Lodato, DVM, MS, DACVS, CCR. We recently brought in Dr. Boogie Yates and Dr. Rachel Kobe to build our neurology and acupuncture practice offerings, respectively, and our rehab department supports both in-house and external clients. Although we're comprised of multiple, smaller departments, we operate as one team to provide the highest levels of client and patient support within the veterinary community of the Gulf Coast.

We're currently looking for experienced veterinary technicians to join our ICU team for our midshift position. This position works afternoons in our ICU department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; managing the care of post-op patients, administration of medications, IV catheter placement, venipuncture, intubation, monitoring of sedated/anesthetized patients, running in-house laboratory diagnostics, low-stress handling, basic computer and customer service skills, ability to lift 50 pounds, etc. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication and judgement skills.
