Veterinary Technician Practicum

We are a large new Veterinary Hospital in Squamish, with 5 DVMs. We have a great team of 6 very experienced RVTs with a wealth of knowledge to share. We have been voted the best Veterinary Practice within our town for 17 out of the last 18 years, where we have a great reputation.

NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs at in to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year ——can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.
