Veterinary Technician / Receptionist

Looking for a Positive, Upbeat, Responsible, Organized and Reliable individual who pays close attention to detail to join our veterinary family. We are a small family owned practice looking to grow and serve the community of Phillipsburg and the surrounding area. The job includes both technical and reception duties. Salary is commensurate with experience level.

Job title includes:

• Greeting the clients,
• Front desk responsibilities which include filing charts, making appointments, admitting clients, maintaining clients records, using the Management software-Avimark, charging out clients bills.
• Assisting the doctor in the exam rooms, treatments, and surgery
• Restraining animals, performing radiographs, venipuncture, filling and administering medication, giving injections, anesthesia monitoring, assisting in surgery, etc..
• Creating/maintaining a clean and sterile work environment
• Create a calm and comforting experience for our patients
• Assist the Veterinarian with routine patient appointments and surgical procedures
• Collect and preserve laboratory samples that must be shipped offsite for more comprehensive testing
• Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored
• Prepare appointment rooms prior to scheduled patient visits

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
