Vice President

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility for trading key emerging market products, including HKD and CNH, while acting as a market maker to clients in order to achieve financial targets
• Conduct in-depth market analysis to formulate and implement effective hedging strategies
• Manage trading positions in strict compliance with market-making obligations and established risk limits
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various functions—including sales, trading desks, management, risk control, back-office operations, and IT—to resolve issues and drive operational improvements
• Optimize revenue generation and enhance client coverage by maintaining a clear understanding of client segments, business activity, and industry trends
• Communicate market intelligence, regulatory updates, legal considerations, and tax implications to internal decision-makers and relevant stakeholders
• Ensure seamless client business continuity and promote effective teamwork in alignment with both local and global requirements
• Continuously monitor all trading positions and risk exposures, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and booked in accordance with the firm's trading and market risk guidelines

Candidate Requirements:

• Deep, hands-on experience in the local HKD and CNH cash and derivatives markets

• 8+ years of proven experience managing emerging market rates trading books, with a demonstrable track record of success

• Strong expertise in fixed income products, with a specialized focus on Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) and Cross-Currency Swaps (CCS)

• Proven ability to develop robust trading and risk management strategies

• Demonstrated capability in writing comprehensive market commentary and presenting well-reasoned trading ideas and strategies

• An excellent networker, comfortable and confident in liaising with clients, sales teams, and fellow traders

• Strong interpersonal and people-management skills
