Founded in 1979, CSI Aviation is a worldwide aviation services company and FAA Part 135 air carrier. We provide on-demand passenger, medical, and cargo charter flights 24/7/365. Our team includes experienced former military pilots, aviation, and healthcare professionals. We are looking for a senior leader to strengthen the people and administrative foundation that supports them.
Job Summary
The Vice President of Human Resources leads CSI’s people strategy and HR operations for a fast-growing, federally contracted air carrier and air medical provider, with employees in multiple states and support for international operations. The role sits on the senior leadership team (SLT) and is responsible for developing and executing employee relations strategies that support operational excellence, workforce engagement and business growth. Serving as a key advisor to executive leadership, this role provides strategic oversight of employee relations, workforce governance, compliance, organizational effectiveness and change management within a complex, highly regulated operating environment.
Leading a team of key HR, Recruitment and Business Administration specialists, the VP drives consistent and scalable workforce practices across the various business units. They will partner closely with business leaders to address challenges, mitigate risk and support organizational transformation while fostering a culture of growth, accountability, respect, engagement and high performance.
Responsibilities

- Lead, coach, and develop the HR and business support team. Delegate real responsibility, build bench strength, and create a collaborative culture that works closely with operations, flight, medical, and finance.
- Oversee the full employment lifecycle for a multi-state workforce of pilots, medical care providers, dispatchers, and support staff: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, transfers, promotions, leave, and separations.
- Own talent acquisition strategy and full-cycle recruiting, and workforce planning as operations and contracts grow.
- Oversee employee relations, including complex investigations, ADA and FMLA matters, workers’ compensation, and agency charges.
- Oversee benefit plans, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and deferred compensation.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including EEO, wage-and-hour, leave, affirmative action, VEVRAA, and Section 503.
- Oversee employment eligibility (Form I-9 and E-Verify), employment verification, and background investigations.
- Own HRIS data integrity and reporting. Lead adoption of CSI’s HRIS (UKG) and implementation of applicant tracking system.
- Provide timely support to operations, including supplies, equipment, shipping and receiving, vendor accounts, phone coverage, access control, and badging.
- Maintain, support, and improve the business applications our departments rely on, mainly our HRIS (UKG) and ERP (NetSuite).
- Lead or support system implementations, upgrades, and new module rollouts, including requirements gathering, testing, and go-live.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Ten or more years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years in a senior HR leadership role reporting to executive leadership.
