Vice President Network Engineering

We are seeking a senior network engineering leader to shape the architecture and delivery of large-scale AI GPU clusters and high-performance computing infrastructure. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise, covering network design, reliability, supplier evaluation and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Define scalable network architectures for compute, storage and infrastructure connectivity.
• Lead technology evaluation, vendor selection and network investment decisions.
• Establish standards for reliability, monitoring, automation and operational readiness.
• Optimise network performance, resilience and infrastructure costs.
• Build the engineering team, processes and technical operating model.

Requirements

• 12+ years’ experience in network engineering, datacentre infrastructure, cloud or HPC environments.
• Expertise in modern routing, high-speed networking, RDMA and large-scale network fabrics.
• Experience supporting AI or accelerated computing infrastructure.
• Proven ability to combine executive-level leadership with hands-on architecture and troubleshooting.
• Strong stakeholder, supplier management and commercial decision-making skills.
• Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

• Experience building engineering teams and standards, improving network automation and reliability, and delivering large-scale infrastructure programmes.
