Vice President of Engineering

Role Description The Vice President of Engineering at DAC Santé 78 Sud - DACTYS is a part-time remote position responsible for leading the engineering organization, setting technical direction, and ensuring high-quality delivery of software and product initiatives. This role oversees engineering teams, collaborates with product and operations stakeholders to define priorities, and translates business objectives into clear technical roadmaps. Day-to-day tasks include guiding software development efforts, reviewing architecture and design decisions, monitoring project progress, and removing obstacles to timely delivery. The Vice President of Engineering also establishes best practices for engineering management, promotes a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and supports hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of engineering team members. Additional responsibilities include managing budgets and resources within engineering, assessing technology risks and opportunities, and reporting on engineering performance and outcomes to the executive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Strong Engineering Management experience, including building, organizing, and scaling engineering teams.
• Demonstrated Team Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop diverse, distributed teams.
• Hands-on background in Software Development, with solid understanding of modern development practices and architectures.
• Proven Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivery tracking.
• Experience in Product Development, collaborating closely with product and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills in cross-functional and remote environments.
• Experience working in healthcare, health tech, or regulated environments is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to work effectively part time with flexible scheduling while meeting agreed-upon goals and timelines.
