Vice President Operations

Role Description The Vice President Operations is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Livonia, MI, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance across Anglin Civil’s heavy civil and earthmoving projects. This role leads operations teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards and client expectations. Key responsibilities include managing operational processes, optimizing resource allocation, coordinating with project management and field leadership, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Vice President Operations partners with executive leadership on strategic planning, supports P&L performance, and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Operations Management, including oversight of large-scale construction or civil projects and field operations.
• Proficiency in P&L Management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to ensure profitable project and business performance.
• Strong Customer Service orientation, with a track record of building and maintaining effective client relationships in a project-driven environment.
• Experience in Strategic Planning and organizational development, including setting operational priorities and implementing process improvements.
• Advanced Project Management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
• Proven leadership experience managing diverse operational teams and developing talent within a construction or heavy civil setting.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Familiarity with modern construction technologies, equipment management, and safety regulations; commitment to a strong safety culture.
• Ability to work on-site in Livonia, MI and travel to project locations as needed.
