Vice President Operations - India

We are Currently in the process of hiring - President India Operations - Punjab Location.

The Vice President of Operations for a fully integrated poultry company directs the entire value chain from feed mills and breeder farms to hatcheries, live production, primary/further processing, and cold-chain logistics.

This executive owns the P&L, drives yield optimization, enforces strict biosecurity, and ensures regulatory compliance.
Core Responsibilities

• Live Operations & Integration: Oversee feed mill manufacturing, breeder farms, hatcheries, and contract/company broiler grow-out farms. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like feed conversion ratio (FCR), livability, and hatchability.
• Processing Plant Management: Direct primary and secondary chicken processing plants (slaughter, evisceration, deboning, and packaging) to maximize throughput, labor efficiency, and product yields.
• Quality Assurance & Biosecurity: Guarantee total compliance with food safety, animal welfare, and environmental regulations (e.g., HACCP, USDA/FSSAI, OSHA) across all live and processing environments.
• Supply Chain & Logistics: Synchronize live bird scheduling with processing plant capacity and manage frozen/fresh cold-storage warehousing and outbound distribution.
• Financial & Strategic Leadership: Own operational budgets, capital expenditure (CapEx) planning for plant automation, and cost-reduction initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelors degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Operations Management, or Business Administration; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1215 years of progressive operational experience in the poultry or meat protein sector, with at least 5–7 years in a senior multi-site or complex-manager executive role.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in fully integrated poultry supply chains, ERP systems, biosecurity protocols, and modern processing plant automation.
• Leadership Competencies: Exceptional cross-functional team building, strategic P&L management, crisis response readiness (disease outbreaks/supply disruptions), and talent succession planning
