My team is partnering with a leading global alternative investment manager is seeking a Vice President, Valuations & Portfolio Analytics to join its Houston-based investment team.

This role will be responsible for portfolio valuation, investment monitoring, financial modeling, fund analytics, and supporting strategic investment decisions across a diverse portfolio of private investments. The position offers significant interaction with senior investment professionals, investors, auditors, and third-party valuation firms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead valuation analyses for private equity, credit, and infrastructure investments.
• Build and maintain complex financial models, including DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, CAPM, and option pricing models.
• Analyze portfolio company performance and assess valuation impacts.
• Utilize Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and other market data sources for valuation and investment analysis.
• Prepare materials for portfolio reviews, investor reporting, and investment committees.
• Partner with external valuation firms and auditors during valuation reviews.
• Support investor due diligence requests, portfolio sensitivities, and fund-level analysis.
• Monitor investments across various capital structures, including equity, hybrid securities, and debt instruments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Valuation Advisory, Private Equity, Asset Management, Corporate Finance, or Transaction Advisory.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, CAPM, and private market valuation methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
