Internal Job Title: Vice Principal - Behaviour, Safeguarding and Attendance

Strategic Direction and Development

Support and assist the Principal by providing dynamic instructional leadership and management by sharing and modelling the school’s vision and values in everyday work and practice.

Work with the Principal and other Star leaders to ensure the very best education for the pupil, through achieving the organisation’s aims and objectives.

Lead the implementation of Star pastoral systems to secure high levels of attendance and outstanding behaviour.

Ensure a consistent and continuous focus on pupils’ achievement, with systems for recording individual pupil’s progress, and effective use of data and benchmarks to monitor progress in every pupil’s learning.

Develop and maintain high quality transition from primary schools, with curriculum continuity and maximised pupil progress.

Ensure that all those involved in the school are committed to its aims, motivated to achieve them and involved in meeting long, medium - and short-term objectives and targets which secure the educational success of the school.

Assist in the creation and implementation of a strategic plan which identifies priorities and targets for ensuring that pupils achieve high standards and make progress, increasing teachers’ effectiveness and securing school improvement.

Lead on the implementation of all policies and procedures relating to safeguarding.

You will have:

A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status

Experience of senior leadership and management within a school setting

Experience of successful and sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement
