What they need
Glasgow Based Applicants Only.
About us
is Scotland's largest dedicated home rewiring company. We complete around 15 full house rewires every week across Glasgow. We have 800+ five-star reviews, we've featured on STV, and we already make YouTube content. Now we want someone to take our online presence to the next level, full-time.
This isn't a "post when you're told" job. We want a creative, forward-thinking person who owns our content from idea to upload.
Every Monday you'll sit down with the Managing Director and bring the ideas: what we're filming this week, why, and where it's going. Then you'll make it happen. You'll plan it, film it, edit it and get it out across every platform, every day.
What you'll do
- Come up with a steady stream of content ideas: job walkthroughs, before-and-afters, customer stories, tips, behind the scenes and trends worth jumping on
- Drive to live jobs across Glasgow to film on-site, and film in the office
- Interview customers and the team on camera
- Edit short-form video (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) and longer YouTube videos
- Post daily across all our platforms. Consistency is non-negotiable.
- Run and grow our accounts on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Keep our Google Business Profile active with fresh photos and posts
- Turn our five-star reviews into content
- Spot new platforms, formats and ideas before our competitors do
Filming kit and know-howYou'll be responsible for choosing, setting up and running our filming kit. You should be confident with:
- Cameras: shooting high-quality video on a phone or mirrorless camera, and knowing which suits each job
- Audio: wireless mics (lavalier and on-camera) for clear sound in noisy sites and busy homes
- Lighting: portable LED lights to film in dark lofts, cupboards and under floors
- Stabilisers: gimbals and tripods for smooth walkthroughs and steady shots
- Editing: Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut or similar, plus captions, thumbnails and platform formats (vertical for short-form, landscape for YouTube)
- Kit care: keeping footage backed up, files organised and equipment charged and ready to go
You'll have a budget to recommend and buy the kit we need, so tell us what you'd use and why.
Interest in the electrical industryYou don't need a trade background, but you do need a genuine interest in what we do. You'll be learning about rewires, safety and how a home's electrics work, and turning that into content homeowners understand and trust.
How your performance will be measuredYou'll have clear targets from day one. They're reviewed every Monday and formally at 3 and 6 months.
Daily and weekly output
- Post every day on all platforms: YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
- At least 5 short-form videos published each week
- At least 1 long-form YouTube video each week
- At least 2 Google Business Profile posts each week
- A content plan for the following week, presented every Monday
Monthly results
- Follower growth across all platforms
- Views and engagement on every post
- Enquiries coming from social and YouTube
- A short monthly report: what worked, what didn't, and what's next
At 6 months
- Agreed targets for follower growth and enquiries from social, set together in your first month
What we're looking for
- Full UK driving licence. Essential. You'll be driving to jobs across Glasgow most days.
- Based in Glasgow. We're only considering applicants who live in Glasgow.
- A portfolio of video content you've shot and edited yourself (essential, so please include links)
- Confident with filming kit and editing software (see above)
- Good understanding of how social media and digital marketing actually bring in customers
- Self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do
- Comfortable on camera and comfortable getting others on camera
- Trade, construction or home-improvement content experience is a bonus, but not required
Bonuses and incentivesOn top of your salary, you can earn up to £5,000 a year in performance bonuses linked to your KPIs. The better your content performs and the more enquiries it brings in, the more you earn. We want you to share directly in the results you create.
What you'll get
- £28k – £32k salary + up to £5k a year in performance bonuses
- Real ownership: your ideas, your channels, your results
- Kit and software budget
- Pension and holiday
- The chance to build the online presence of a growing, well-known Scottish business
