Video Content Creator

We are looking for a creative and hands-on Video Content Creator to bring our training centres to life through engaging videos. You will independently manage the full production process from coming up with content ideas and writing scripts to filming and editing.

Your content will showcase everyday centre activities, learner experiences, our team and the moments that make Skills Development Academy a welcoming place to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop content ideas: Propose fresh video concepts around centre operations, classroom activities, learner journeys, staff stories and centre events.
• Plan and write scripts: Prepare scripts, storyboards, interview questions and shot lists with clear messages and engaging hooks.
• Film independently: Capture footage at our training centres, including interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, course highlights and events.
• Edit videos: Produce polished videos with suitable pacing, subtitles, music, graphics and sound.
• Create for social media: Adapt content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and YouTube, using formats and trends that suit our audience.
• Coordinate with centre teams: Arrange filming with staff, trainers and learners while keeping daily operations running smoothly.
• Manage the content schedule: Maintain a content calendar and deliver videos consistently within agreed timelines.
• Maintain quality and accuracy: Follow brand guidelines, obtain the necessary filming consent and ensure content accurately represents our courses and learner experiences.
• Improve content performance: Review audience response and use the findings to refine future videos.

What We Are Looking For

• A portfolio demonstrating your ability to conceptualise, film and edit videos.
• Strong storytelling skills and the ability to turn everyday activities into engaging content.
• Confidence working independently and taking ownership from idea to final video.
• Proficiency in editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar tools.
• Practical knowledge of camera or smartphone filming, lighting and audio recording.
• Good communication skills and the ability to help people feel comfortable on camera.
• Strong organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Willingness to travel between our training centres for filming.
• Experience creating content for education, lifestyle, hospitality or service businesses is an advantage.
