Video / Content Production Tutor (Casual)

The Australian Academy of Media (RTO 45017) is a specialist training provider delivering high-quality creative arts, music and media training across schools and community settings throughout Sydney. We are a friendly, supportive team passionate about equipping young people with real-world creative skills.

We are currently seeking a casual Video / Content Production Tutor to join our team and deliver engaging, practical screen and media training to high school-aged students in small groups of approximately 8–12 learners. Lessons are delivered on-site at schools and/or at our campus locations across Sydney.

This is a casual position, with fixed scheduling across NSW school terms. The role is set to begin as soon as possible.

About the role
As the lead Tutor for your group, you will guide students through hands-on, project-based learning in video production, podcasting and content creation. All equipment and media production tools are provided. You’ll be part of a collaborative training team who values creative expression, inclusive practice and student growth.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong, practical experience in content creation from pre-production through to post-production
• Confident using industry-standard tools such as cameras, lighting, audio gear, and editing software (e.g. Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
• A passion for mentoring young people and encouraging creativity
• Experience teaching or mentoring in a creative or educational setting (desirable but not essential)
• Ability to engage students of all backgrounds and learning abilities, including students with disabilities
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, supportive presence

Requirements

• Working With Children Check (WWC)
• Access to a car for travel to training locations
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) is desirable but not required
