About the role

We are looking for a talented Video Editor to take primary responsibility for editing long-form YouTube content, with an initial focus on sit-down, educational-style videos. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of visual storytelling and know how to turn talking-head footage into polished, engaging content through thoughtful pacing, B-roll, motion graphics, motion text and color grading. While long-form YouTube editing will be the primary focus, experience creating short-form content for platforms such as Instagram is highly valuable, particularly for repurposing longer videos into engaging short-form clips. This role is best suited to an editor who has a strong creative eye and can demonstrate the quality of their work through a solid portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Edit long-form YouTube videos, primarily sit-down and educational-style content.
• Create polished and engaging edits that maintain viewer interest throughout the video.
• Incorporate relevant B-roll, supporting footage, imagery and other visual elements to enhance the content.
• Create and integrate motion graphics and motion text where appropriate.
• Apply effective pacing, cuts, transitions and visual storytelling techniques.
• Perform color correction and color grading to achieve a polished and consistent visual style.
• Repurpose long-form content into short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram.
• Review and refine edits based on feedback while maintaining the overall creative direction of the content.
• Deliver final video assets to a high professional standard and within agreed timelines.

About you

• Proven experience editing long-form video content, particularly YouTube or similar digital content.
• Strong understanding of editing talking-head and educational-style videos.
• Good skills in motion graphics and motion text.
• Strong ability to source, select and integrate B-roll effectively.
• Proficiency in colour correction and colour grading.
• A strong eye for pacing, composition and visual storytelling.
• Ability to take raw footage and shape it into a polished, engaging final product.
• Experience with short-form content and content repurposing is an advantage.
• Ability to receive feedback and make thoughtful revisions.
• Portfolio mandatory for this position.
