Video Editor

Role Description This part-time remote Video Editor role at Rede Nacional de Educação Cidadã focuses on producing high-quality video content for educational and social impact initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing raw footage into cohesive narratives, adding transitions and effects, synchronizing audio, and preparing videos for various digital platforms. The Video Editor will collaborate with content creators and project coordinators to understand storylines, branding guidelines, and messaging goals, while managing multiple projects and meeting agreed deadlines. Additional tasks may involve basic motion graphics, color correction, formatting videos for different aspect ratios, and maintaining an organized asset library.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage core video production tasks, including planning, organizing footage, and supporting the end-to-end Video Production process.
• Proficiency in Video Editing, with experience assembling clips, adding transitions, and synchronizing audio for clear, engaging stories.
• Skills in Video Color Grading to adjust exposure, contrast, and color balance, ensuring visual consistency and quality.
• Experience creating Motion Graphics and integrating Graphics elements such as titles, lower thirds, and simple animations.
• Strong command of industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
• Attention to detail, strong visual storytelling ability, and commitment to meeting deadlines in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to receive and implement feedback constructively.
• Relevant education or training in film, media, communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
