Video Editor

We are looking for a creative and reliable Video Editor to join our growing content and digital media team at Brand Spark Media.

We work in a fast-moving social media environment, creating content for our own digital platforms as well as for brands and businesses across different industries. A large part of our work revolves around Instagram Reels, YouTube Videos ( Self-owned channels ) and other short-form video content.

What we’re looking for

We don’t just need someone who knows how to use editing software. We’re looking for someone who understands content ( geopolitical, financial and infotainment as well )

You should be able to take raw footage and turn it into a video that is engaging, clean, fast-paced and capable of holding someone’s attention.

Your work will include:

Editing Instagram Reels, YouTube videos and social media videos

Turning raw footage into polished, engaging content

Adding captions, graphics, images, B-roll, sound effects and music where required

Understanding pacing, hooks and viewer retention

Finding suitable supporting footage and visual elements

Following briefs while also bringing your own creative ideas

Making revisions based on feedback

Managing multiple videos and deadlines efficiently

Maintaining a consistent editing style across different projects

Who would be a good fit?

We’re looking for someone who:

Has good experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar

Understands Instagram, YouTube and current short-form content styles

Has a strong sense of storytelling, timing and attention to detail

Can understand what makes people stop scrolling and continue watching

Is comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for their work

Can communicate clearly and meet deadlines

Is willing to learn, experiment and improve continuously

A degree is not the most important thing for us. Your editing ability, creativity, understanding of content and portfolio will matter much more.
