About the Role

Robot24.com is looking for an exceptional Video Editor & Story Producer who can turn hours of raw footage into highly engaging, polished video content.

This is not a role for someone who simply executes editing instructions.

We are looking for someone with an outstanding visual instinct who can review raw footage, identify the strongest moments, understand the story hidden within the material, and transform it into compelling short-form and long-form video content.

You need to understand what makes people stop scrolling, what keeps them watching, and what makes a video feel premium rather than simply well edited.

Your Responsibilities

• Review and organize large volumes of raw footage from shoots around the world
• Identify the strongest moments, reactions, quotes and sequences within the footage
• Develop compelling narratives and story structures from raw material
• Edit high-performing short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
• Edit long-form content for YouTube and other digital platforms
• Create powerful openings and hooks within the first seconds of a video
• Understand pacing, retention and storytelling — not just technically, but creatively
• Decide what should be removed, shortened, emphasized or repositioned to make a story stronger
• Create different edits and versions depending on the platform
• Incorporate subtitles, graphics, sound design, music and visual effects where they improve the story
• Maintain an extremely high standard of visual quality across all Robot24.com content
• Collaborate closely with Editorial, Social Media and Production teams

What We Are Looking For

You must have:

• Minimum 4 years of professional video editing experience
• An exceptional portfolio demonstrating both short-form and long-form work
• Advanced professional editing skills
• Strong proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
• Experience with Adobe After Effects or comparable motion-graphics tools
• Excellent understanding of sound design, music selection, colour correction and colour grading
• Strong understanding of social-media formats, particularly Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
• A deep understanding of hooks, pacing, audience retention and visual storytelling
• The ability to turn unstructured raw footage into a clear and engaging story
• Excellent visual taste and a strong sense of what feels modern, premium and relevant
• The ability to work independently rather than waiting for frame-by-frame editing instructions
• Experience working with large amounts of footage and managing professional editing workflows
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fluent English

What Matters Most

Technical editing ability alone is not enough for this position.

We are looking for someone who can watch hours of footage and immediately recognize:

Where is the story?

What is the hook?

What will make people keep watching?

Which moments have viral potential?

How can this footage become something people actually want to share?

You should be equally comfortable creating a fast-paced 30-second social video and building a compelling longer-form story.

Technical Skills

Experience with the following is highly desirable:

• Adobe Premiere Pro
• DaVinci Resolve
• Adobe After Effects
• Adobe Audition or professional audio-editing workflows
• Professional colour grading
• Motion graphics and animated titles
• Multicam editing
• Captioning and subtitle workflows
• Proxy workflows and management of large raw-footage libraries
• Frame.io or similar collaborative review platforms

Who Will Succeed in This Role

You are someone who watches an edit and notices immediately when a shot stays on screen half a second too long.

You understand that great editing is not about adding more effects — it is about timing, emotion, storytelling and taste.

You follow the evolution of digital video and understand why certain formats perform while others do not.

Most importantly, you don’t need someone to tell you exactly what to cut.

You know how to find the story yourself.
