About Pepper

Pepper is building an AI-powered content and SEO growth platform, serving 2,500+ global brands with 150,000+ content creators. Our platform Atlas is an agentic SEO + content engine where AI, automation, editorial intelligence, and search systems come together to drive outcomes at scale.

We do not just produce content. We engineer how it performs across search engines, AI systems, and customer journeys — and increasingly, how it moves people on screen.

A Note on Video: Why This Role Matters

For a B2B brand, video is where credibility becomes visible. A product launch, a category explainer, a founder POV, a social short — these are the moments where an abstract idea about SEO, AI, or content becomes something a busy professional actually understands and remembers.

That does not happen through cuts and captions alone. It happens through motion — through design that gives an idea rhythm, clarity, and weight. At Pepper, we are building a marketing engine that ships video at the speed of a content team but at the polish of a studio. This role sits at the center of that.

The Role: Motion-First Video Editor. End-to-End Owner. Marketing Craftsman.

You will own video from idea to export for Pepper's marketing team — but through the lens of motion design first. Editing is the baseline. Animation and motion graphics are the craft that sets your work apart. You will sit in the Mumbai office, on screens alongside the marketing folks, writers, designers, strategists, and social leads — turning briefs, decks, and rough concepts into finished films. Some days that means a polished product film with kinetic typography and animated UI. Other days it means a fast, on-brand explainer for LinkedIn. Occasionally it means picking up a camera, being on set, and shaping how a piece is shot so it edits well later. This is an individual contributor role. No people management. High ownership. Strong taste. Speed with polish. Motion at the core.

What You'll Do

Motion Graphics, Animation & Design Craft (50%)

Own motion design as the core of the ro le. Kinetic typography, animated UI, iconography, data and product visualisations, transitions, and title systems that make B2B ideas clear and premium.

Turn abstract concepts into visual stori es. Take an idea about SEO, AI search, content, or a product feature and design how it moves — giving abstract concepts rhythm, hierarchy, and a visual logic (in the spirit of a polished product-launch film.

Build reusable motion syste ms. Create and extend Pepper's motion language — reusable After Effects templates, lower-thirds, animated logo behaviours, colour and type systems — so quality holds across every asset and shipping stays fast.

Animate for every format and platfo rm. Design the same idea for a 2-minute YouTube film and a 30-second vertical LinkedIn cut, keeping the motion legible and on-brand at every ratio and length. Hold a craft bar. Judge motion the way a designer does — timing, easing, spacing, weight — and know when a piece is structurally weak even if the footage is fine.

End-to-End Video Editing & Post-Production (30%)

Edit end to end. You own the full post-production chain: assembly, story edit, pacing, colour, sound design, mix, and final delivery specs for each platf orm.

Cut for the viewer, not the timel ine. Cut for attention and retention — strong opens, clean narrative flow, and a payoff — not just clips stitched to a tr ack.

Take raw material to finished as set. Turn scripts, VO, interview footage, screen recordings, and stock into a finished, on-brand piece with minimal back-and-fo rth.

Own the craft and the proc ess. Manage projects, versions, feedback rounds, and file hygiene so nothing gets lost and revisions stay fast.

Shoots, Marketing Collaboration & In-Office Craft (20%).

Work alongside the f olks. Sit with the marketing team on screens, jam on concepts early, and bring editing and motion thinking into the brief before a frame is shot.

Shoot when it's needed, and shape the s hoot. When needed, be on set — shoot talking heads, product, or office content yourself, and guide how others shoot so the footage edits cleanly (framing, lighting, audio, coverage, B-r oll).

Connect video to marketing outc omes. Translate marketing goals — a launch, a campaign, a demand-gen push, a founder thought-leadership series — into the right video format and treat ment.

Stay current on the platf orms. Keep a pulse on what performs on YouTube, LinkedIn, and short-form, and fold that back into how you edit and ani mate.

Who This

  • Is ForYou have 3–6 years editing video, with motion graphics and animation as your strongest muscle — not an afterthought.
  • You live in After Effects and Premiere Pro (or DaVinci / Final Cut), and you can animate, edit, and design without waiting on someoneelse.
  • You have made B2B, SaaS, tech, or product-led content — explainers, launch films, social shorts — and care about clarity, not just flash.
  • You can hold a premium, product-launch level of polish and still ship fast, social-first content the same week.
  • You are comfortable being in-office, collaborating live, and occasionally picking up a camera or being on set.
  • You think about the viewer and the goal, not just the timeline.

Who This Is

  • Not For Someone who edits but treats motion graphics as a plugin preset rather than a craft.
  • Someone who needs a full brief and a finished script for every frame and cannot shape an idea early.
  • Someone who wants remote-only or refuses to ever be on set or hold a camera.
  • Someone who chases visual effects for their own sake and loses the message.
  • Someone who wants seniority through team size instead of ownership of the work.

What You Bring

  • 3–6 years in video editing with strong, demonstrable motion graphics and animation work.
  • Expert command of After Effects and Premiere Pro; comfort with DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut and design tools (Illustrator, Figma) is a plus.
  • A reel that shows both polished long-form (product / brand films) and sharp short-form social edits.
  • Solid fundamentals in typography, layout, colour, timing, and sound design.
  • Working knowledge of production basics — framing, lighting, and audio — enough to shoot when required and to guide a shoot.
  • Experience creating B2B, SaaS, or tech marketing content, and understanding of how video performs across YouTube, LinkedIn, and short form.
  • The ability to take a piece end to end — concept to final delivery — with minimal supervision. Comfort using AI tools in the workflow (generative assets, VO, captions, upscaling) to move faster without dropping the quality bar.

Why This Role Is Different

You are not joining to churn out cuts. You are joining to own how Pepper looks and moves on screen — to build the motion language, ship the launch films and the daily social content, and sit shoulder-to-shoulder with a marketing team that treats video as a growth lever, not a nice

-to-have.This role sits at the intersection of motion design craft, end-to-end editing, and marketing impact — with the range to go from a studio-grade product film to a scroll-stopping LinkedIn short in the same week. If that range excites you, this seat will feel meaningful.

To Apply

No fluff. Send us your reel, and tell us:One piece where motion design — not the footage — is what made it work and why

  • How you think about AI in a video workflow today: what speeds you up, what still needs your hand and eye.
  • One B2B or product video (yours or one you admire) that made an abstract idea genuinely clear, and what you'd have done differently.

We are looking for someone who can edit end to end, animate with taste, shoot when it counts, and make Pepper's ideas move. If that sounds like you, this is your seat.

Other offers great for you!
