Role Summary

This role owns execution: turning briefs into polished, on-time video content across the team's editorial calendar and adhoc requests. You're the person who makes deadlines and quality both non-negotiable, not either/or.

What You'll Own

• Deliver calendar content and adhoc requests within agreed deadlines, consistently, no exceptions rationalized as one-offs.
• Edit within SLA turnaround times, average completion time tracked and owned, not explained away after the fact.
• Hit a high internal quality bar on storytelling, pacing, transitions, sound, and polish, every month, not on your best week.
• Keep revision rounds under control. If videos are routinely needing multiple rounds, that's a briefing or skill gap to flag, not absorb silently.
• Test new editing styles, transitions, hooks, or storytelling formats regularly, and bring proactive creative suggestions (storytelling, pacing, shot selection, thumbnail) consistently. This isn't optional polish, it's part of the job.
• Contribute to retention, watch time, and completion-rate goals, know how your cuts perform, not just whether they went out.

Tools & Craft You Should Already Be Good At

• Premiere Pro and After Effects at a professional level, comfortable with multicam, color basics, and audio cleanup, not just trimming clips.
• An eye for how visual, audio, and typographic elements play off each other, pacing a cut to music, timing a punchline, knowing when a jump cut works and when it just looks lazy.
• Comfortable adapting one piece of content across formats (reels, YouTube, LinkedIn) without treating it as a from-scratch job each time.

Who You Are

• A team player first. This role sits inside a fast-moving comms function across 15+ SBUs, you take a brief, give feedback constructively, and don't make your Communications Lead chase you for status.
• Someone who treats a missed deadline as a problem to solve, not a story to explain.
• Curious about culture and trends without needing to be told to look, you notice what's working on the internet and ask why.
