Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce high-quality video content for social media, marketing campaigns, events, and other digital platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for editing raw footage into engaging, professional, and visually appealing videos that align with the company's brand and communication goals.

Job Description

• Edit raw video footage into high-quality and engaging final content.
• Review and organize footage, audio, graphics, and other media assets.
• Create short-form videos, reels, promotional videos, interviews, corporate videos, and social media content.
• Add music, sound effects, transitions, subtitles, captions, graphics, and visual effects where required.
• Ensure videos have proper pacing, storytelling, colour correction, audio quality, and visual consistency.
• Edit content according to platform requirements for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
• Collaborate with content creators, photographers, videographers, and marketing teams to develop creative concepts.
• Participate in video shoots when required and provide technical input on framing, lighting, and footage quality.
• Organize and maintain video project files, footage, and digital assets.
• Make revisions based on feedback from management, clients, or the creative team.
• Ensure all completed videos meet required quality standards and deadlines.
• Keep up to date with current video editing trends, social media formats, and visual storytelling techniques.
• Assist in developing creative ideas and concepts for video campaigns.
• Manage multiple editing projects while meeting agreed deadlines.
• Maintain proper backup and storage of project files and finished videos.

Requirements/Skills

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Film Production, Multimedia, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Proven years of experience in video editing or a related creative role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
• Good knowledge of colour grading, sound editing, transitions, motion graphics, and visual effects.
• Strong understanding of social media video formats and trends.
• Good storytelling and creative skills.
• Strong attention to detail and visual aesthetics.
• Ability to work with different video formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A portfolio or samples of previous video editing work is required.

Pay: ₦100,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
