Video Editor

We’re looking for a Video Editor who understands content, not just editing software.

You should know how to take a raw recording and turn it into something that people actually want to watch. That means understanding hooks, pacing, retention, B-roll, captions, sound design, transitions, storytelling, CTAs and visual design, not simply cutting clips together.

We’re looking for someone who can work across Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, long-form YouTube videos and podcasts, while also using AI tools to significantly improve the speed and quality of their work.

AI & Productivity:AI is a major part of our workflow, so you should be someone who actively looks for ways to use AI to work faster, smarter and more efficiently.

You should be comfortable using AI tools for things such as:
Generating and improving video concepts
Creating AI avatars
Generating B-roll and visual assets
Caption and subtitle generationTranscription
Removing filler words and improving pacing
Repurposing long-form content into short-form clips
Creating hooks and variations
Research and content analysis
Improving workflows and repetitive editing tasks
Automating parts of the post-production process

What we’re looking for:
* 5+ years of professional video editing experience
* Strong experience editing short-form social media content
* Experience with long-form YouTube content and podcasts
* Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube editing styles
* A strong sense of pacing and audience retention
* Good understanding of hooks and how to visually reinforce them
* Strong understanding of B-roll selection and placement
* Good knowledge of captions, subtitles and on-screen text
* Strong understanding of sound effects, music and sound design
* Ability to use transitions appropriately and intentionally
* Strong visual and design sense
* Understanding of social media safe zones and platform-specific formatting
* Experience working with AI video and creative tools
* Experience with or willingness to deeply integrate Claude and AI productivity workflows
* Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
* Strong attention to detail* Ability to take feedback and iterate quickly
* Understanding of how editing choices affect watch time, retention, and engagement

The ideal candidate is someone who combines editing skill, creative judgement, design sense, social media knowledge and AI expertise.

You understand that a great editor doesn't just make a video look good. A great editor makes people stop, watch, stay and take action.
