Intermediate Social Media Video Editor

We are looking for an intermediate-level video editor with 2+ years of professional editing experience who specializes in high-quality short-form social media content.

This is not a basic editing position. We are looking for someone who can take professionally shot footage and turn it into engaging, polished content using strong pacing, sound design, motion graphics, transitions, VFX, and creative storytelling.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of professional video editing experience
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
• Experience editing short-form social media content including Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and paid social ads
• Proficient in color correcting and grading S-Log footage
• Strong ability to edit both talking-head and action-based content
• Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, retention, storytelling, and social-first editing
• Experience with motion graphics, masking, tracking, speed ramping, transitions, compositing, and VFX
• Strong understanding of sound design, music selection, mixing, and SFX
• Ability to match established editing styles and brand guidelines across multiple clients
• Comfortable learning and working within our production workflow, file management, and project management systems
• Strong file organization and project management skills
• Ability to take creative direction while also making strong editing decisions independently
• Able to manage multiple projects and revisions while consistently meeting deadlines

Preferred Experience

We work heavily with blue-collar, automotive, construction, home service, marine, industrial, and other service-based businesses.

Previous experience creating social media content for these types of businesses is a major plus.

Portfolio Requirements

A short-form social media portfolio is required to be considered.

• High-quality Reels, TikToks, or Shorts
• Talking-head edits
• Action-focused edits
• Commercial or business social content
• Creative transitions, motion graphics, VFX, and sound design
• Blue-collar or service-business content is a plus

Please do not submit long-form YouTube videos, films, documentaries, wedding videos, or unrelated work. We are specifically evaluating your ability to edit short-form social media content.

Filming experience is not required. This position is focused on post-production.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
