Video Editor

About the role

Turn raw footage and creative briefs into polished video content for Greatway Financial. The video editor will own the remote editing process after footage and project materials are transferred by the Canadian marketing team. The Marketing team will provide the brief, reference materials, priorities and final approval. The editor will organize the received assets, complete the edit, submit drafts, apply consolidated feedback and deliver the approved files in the required platform-specific formats.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and download raw footage filmed by the Canadian team through the company's approved file-sharing platform
• Review transferred files to confirm that footage, audio and other required assets are complete and usable before editing begins
• Organize footage, project files, graphics, music, working versions and final exports using Greatway Financial's established folder structure and file-naming conventions
• Edit projects remotely based on the creative brief, reference materials and direction provided by Marketing
• Select footage and shape storytelling, pacing and B-roll; produce captions, motion graphics, music, sound design and colour grading and correction
• Deliver platform-specific formats, aspect ratios and exports
• Manage assigned edits, deadlines, quality checks and revisions; flag missing assets or delivery risks early
• Apply brand standards and consolidated feedback
• Communicate promptly when footage, assets or instructions are missing, unclear or technically unusable
• Coordinate with the Canadian Marketing team across locations and time zones to meet agreed production schedules

About you

• Portfolio demonstrating strong video editing, storytelling and attention to detail
• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and/or Adobe Premiere Pro is preferred
• Ability to create engaging short-form and longer-form content
• Ability to apply brand guidelines and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication, file organization and receptiveness to feedback
• Ability to translate briefs into finished work
