Video Editor — Full-Time

The Dossier is looking for a skilled Video Editor to join our editorial team in Delhi. We are looking for someone who can turn ideas, reporting and narratives into compelling visual stories—not simply someone who can assemble footage.

This is a full-time, work-from-office role for an experienced editor with strong storytelling, editing and motion-graphics skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Edit videos for The Dossier’s digital platforms, including documentaries, explainers and editorial content.

* Translate editorial ideas and narratives into engaging visual stories.

* Handle the complete editing process, from footage selection and sequencing to sound, colour, graphics and final output.

* Create motion graphics, animations, transitions and other visual elements where required.

* Work closely with the editorial team to understand the story, tone and intended audience.

* Maintain a high standard of visual quality, pacing and attention to detail.

* Experiment with new formats, editing techniques and AI-assisted creative tools.

Requirements

* Minimum 2 years of professional video-editing experience.

* Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.

* Proficiency in After Effects; familiarity with DaVinci Resolve is expected.

* Strong skills in motion graphics, animation and VFX.

* Excellent visual storytelling and editing instincts.

* Strong attention to detail and understanding of pacing, composition and sound.

* Familiarity with AI tools for video and creative production.

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

* Full-time availability. Freelancers will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience editing documentaries, explainer videos or long-form editorial content.

* A strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics and visual storytelling.

* Knowledge of 2D/3D workflows and Blender.

* Interest in current affairs, culture and long-form storytelling.

* Experience working with editorial, media or digital publishing teams.
