About the Team & the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and agile Freelance Video Editor to help our client transform raw, user-generated-style footage into polished, brand-aligned content for professional social media platforms. In this role, you will be the primary creative force turning on-the-ground updates into engaging, social-first narratives.

Working independently, you will take footage captured on camera phones by local market teams and elevate it using a strong eye for pacing, storytelling, and professional formatting. This position is ideally based in Canada to facilitate seamless collaboration within the same time zones as the footage creators.

We move quickly, making this role perfect for a self-starter who thrives with minimal direction. What You Will Do

Content Transformation & Storytelling

• Transform unpolished, camera-phone footage into concise, high-impact video content tailored specifically for professional social media audiences.
• Ensure all final deliverables are cohesive, professional, and strictly aligned with the organization’s tone and visual identity.

Workflow & Technical Execution

• Execute rapid turnarounds independently, relying on your deep understanding of current social video trends and brand alignment.
• Utilize modern editing software, creative templates, and emerging AI tools to streamline workflows and maximize final video quality.

What You Bring to the Table

• Social-First Expertise: A proven track record of editing social-first video content for brands or organizations, with a sharp understanding of professional networking platform algorithms.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on expertise in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut), as well as modern AI video tools.
• Agility & Independence: The demonstrated ability to work incredibly fast, creatively problem-solve with limited raw materials, and manage multiple deliverables with minimal guidance.
