About the Role
Leelija Web Solutions is looking for a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team at our Barasat office. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in editing social media reels, long-form videos, podcasts, promotional videos, and digital banners.
We are looking for someone who understands social media content trends, can create engaging visual content, and is comfortable working both in the office and on location for video shoots. The candidate should also be familiar with AI-powered tools, social media optimisation, and content research.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Editing & Content Production

• Edit Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form videos.
• Edit long-form YouTube videos, business stories, interviews, podcasts, and promotional videos.
• Add transitions, subtitles, captions, sound effects, background music, and colour corrections.
• Create engaging opening hooks and maintain audience attention through effective pacing.
• Resize and optimise videos for different social media platforms.
• Ensure high-quality audio, video, and final exports.

2. DSLR Camera Handling & Video Shooting

• Handle DSLR or mirrorless cameras confidently for professional video shoots.
• Understand basic camera settings, framing, composition, lighting, and audio recording.
• Shoot interviews, podcasts, business stories, product videos, and promotional content.
• Candidates who own and can professionally operate an iPhone for high-quality video recording will be preferred.
• Be comfortable travelling to on-location shoots and participating in both indoor and outdoor video production.

3. Teamwork & Field Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the marketing, content, and social media teams.
• Follow content briefs, deadlines, and brand guidelines.
• Manage editing projects efficiently and organise video files and project assets.
• Be willing to travel for shoots and complete editing work associated with on-location assignments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of practical video editing experience.
• Good working knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Filmora, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong video editing and basic graphic design skills.
• Practical knowledge of DSLR/mirrorless camera handling or professional iPhone videography.
• Familiarity with ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other AI tools.
• Basic knowledge of SMO, hashtags, keywords, and social media research.
• Good understanding of short-form and long-form video formats.
• Creativity, attention to detail, time management, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work from the Barasat office and attend off-site video shoots when required.

Preferred Candidates
Candidates will receive preference if they:

• Own an iPhone suitable for professional video recording and can demonstrate their skills.
• Have experience editing podcasts, interviews, business documentaries, or promotional videos.
• Can independently shoot, edit, and deliver complete video content.
• Have a strong portfolio demonstrating video editing and banner design.
• Understand social media trends and audience retention techniques.

Office Timings

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Sunday: Weekly off
