Video Editor

About The Role We are seeking a creative Video Editor to be part of our post-production efforts and elevate overall content quality across organic, promotional and advertising projects.

In this role, you will edit engaging video content, assist with production, and mentor junior team members. The ideal candidate is a skilled visual storyteller who thrives in a dynamic start-up environment and is passionate about delivering high-standard work.

What You Will Do

• Edit and produce engaging video content for internal channels, social media platforms, and client campaigns.
• Handle various aspects of post-production, including video editing, colour correction, audio mixing, subtitling, and basic motion graphics.
• Assist in video production when required, including filming, equipment setup, and on-set support.
• Collaborate with producers and creative teams to ensure videos align with creative briefs, brand guidelines, and project objectives.
• Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining content quality.
• Review and implement feedback from internal stakeholders and clients promptly and accurately.
• Liaise with clients when required, maintaining clear communication and positive working relationships.
• Coordinate with freelance editors alongside supervisors to ensure deliverables meet production timelines and quality standards.
• Stay updated on social media trends, editing techniques, and emerging video formats to enhance content quality.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required in a dynamic production environment, including assisting with equipment handling and production logistics.

The Successful Candidate Should Have

• 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in video editing, bonus if you have production experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with knowledge of After Effects and DaVinci Resolve being an advantage.
• A strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
• A good understanding of social media trends, editing styles, and platform-specific content.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality edits in terms of visuals, audio, subtitles, and graphics.
• Good communication skills and the ability to understand and implement feedback effectively.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to different creative directions.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a fast-paced production environment.
